@morganspurlock Series: POM Wonderful Supports Special Screening In Port Townsend Part 2 #greatestmovieeversold

Janette Force, Executive Director for The Port Townsend Film Institute, talks about "POM Wonderful Presents The Greatest Movie Ever Sold", meeting director Morgan Spurlock and the Film Festivals special screening May 29th.

Morgan Spurlock was invited attend the May 29th event. A member of Sony Pictures Classics PR team sent this email regarding the request: "The film nor Morgan are available for this."

But, POM Wonderful will provide cold beverages to all the audience members of the special screening. Several of the plastic bottles will have custom made Microsoft Tags on them (see below). 2D barcodes on sponsor product packaging and printed material is a cost effective vechicle to co-promote the film to smartphone consumers. Microsoft Tags are free to produce, change and track.

"In creating Microsoft Tags for several of the film's sponsors, I made sure to take the time to research the brand and try to determine what the message is that the advertiser is trying to project," explains Arizona artist Bret DaCosta. "Once I have a grasp I create a new Tag account and render the basic Tag in either color or black and white. From this point I manipulate the colors to best identify with the official colors of the brand or a representation through color to project a certain identity or invoke emotion."

This is a mock-up of what Bret's customed Microsoft Tag could look like on a 16oz bottle of POM Wonderful. Read More
