HOW ubiquitous is Morgan Spurlock about to be? Well, in addition to the usual marketing and media rollout for a major documentary, his new film, “The Greatest Movie Ever Sold,” is being promoted by 23 sponsors whose wares are shamelessly plugged in the movie, including Mini Cooper, Pom Wonderful and Amy’s Kitchen. His mug is on collectors’ cups at almost 400 Sheetz convenience stores and he is part of a Movietickets.com trailer in theaters. Mr. Spurlock, who came to prominence and the edge of major illness by gorging on McDonald’s in “Super Size Me,” is crisscrossing the country, hawking his movie and his sponsors. He shows up for interviews with a coat — created by Ted Baker — that is festooned with all manner of logos. Selling Morgan Spurlock’s ‘Greatest Movie Ever Sold’ - NYTimes.com
