As a proud graduate of the University of Oregon University of Oregon, I am all about supporting local Oregon products and services, but there’s a Portland-based organic whole grain bread company that has recently caught my attention.
And to top it off, Dave’s Killer Bread, known for its healthy seeded breads and cinnamon rolls, is expanding throughout Northern California.
According to a statement released by the private company on Monday, all the Safeway stores in the San Francisco and San Jose areas are expected to start carrying the breads, as of Sept. 15. The four popular labels to look for include: Good Seed, 21 Whole Grains (my personal favorite), Powerseed and Blues breads.
The company was founded by Dave Dahl, his brother Glenn Dahl and nephew Shobi Dahl in 2005. Click here to check out Dave’s story behind why it is called Dave’s Killer Bread.
