KIMA TV Report - Yakima Fruit Now Has #QR Codes



YAKIMA -- Over the last decade, most of us have become label readers, wanting to know where our clothes are made and where our fruits and vegetables come from. Now, local grocery stores are taking this "need to know" to a whole new level. KIMA checked out a new way to get everything you want to know about the produce you buy.

Grocery shopper Daniel Bruner has just discovered the power of a QR code.

"That's a nice feature and I will probably have fun shopping today with this," Bruner said about the new code.

It's a feature that's now on many items at the grocery store. The QR code looks similar to a barcode, but instead of vertical lines it has a square code. Read More
