Tech Talk: #QR Codes Make Print Ads Interactive on KFYR-TV North Dakota's NBC News Leader

The codes can be created right within many of the scanning apps, but you can also create them on different QR code generating websites, which is what URL Radio co-owner Stacy Sturm decided to do to bring in more listeners.

"How can I get direct listeners from our print advertising? And so then I thought, you know, I`m gonna see if I can get the QR code or the 2D code to actually launch our radio station," explained Sturm.

And that`s exactly what Sturm did, by essentially creating a mobile music app that opens when URL Radio`s code is scanned, which begins playing the station.

"So, it`s that easy now, people can get us immediately, where as before they would have to remember to go to a computer and log in and now it`s gonna translate instantly to people carrying this around," said Sturm.

Making this seemingly unremarkable image a powerful way to attract a wider audience. )Read More, Watch Video)
