The City of Port Townsend invites the public to a free open house and design workshop on its Wayfinding Project, 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, at the newly restored Cotton Building, 607 Water St.
The primary purpose of Port Townsend’s Wayfinding Project is to help locals and visitors alike seamlessly navigate their way around and through Port Townsend by increasing the “legibility” of the environment through the provision of signage and deployment of new information technologies. “This project is part of our larger economic strategy for the city,” said David Timmons, city manager. “Wayfinding isn’t only about tourism, it’s also about finding local businesses and what they have to offer.” Read More
