Adweek: What’s the first information you consume in the morning?
Morgan Spurlock: I usually go into my Twitter feed when I wake up and see what’s hitting on CNN or the Huffington Post. I also follow the N.Y. Times, Fox News, MSNBC, and Bloomberg. Then I go on my iPad and read more. I also tear through the digital N.Y. Post and read my horoscope for the day; Post is pretty spot on.
AW: What do you read or watch or listen to at the breakfast table?
MS: I love me some Pat Kiernan in the morning. I turn on NY1 while I get ready and get the local news, weather, and traffic before I leave.
AW: What occupies your mind in the car, on the subway, train, or bus?
MS: I lived in Fort Greene for the past two years and drove into the city (10 minutes door to door). On the drive I usually listen to NPR or 1010 WINS, but 1010 drives me crazy because there’s a commercial every other minute. Now I’ve just moved to Park Slope, so I’ll start taking the train into the city again. I’m excited about this because the train was prime reading time for me. Now I’ll actually read the N.Y. Times instead of skimming it like I do now.
AW: Are you a TV junkie, or on an airtime-restricted diet?
MS: I am such a TV junkie. It’s on almost all day in my office (CNN, Fox News or MSNBC). Read More
