Wells Fargo connects @killerbreadman w/ Loaves & Fishes Centers, resulting in $137,000 annual donation to help feed seniors

It was a match made in leaven.

Actually it was at Wells Fargo’s suite in the Rose Garden Arena last fall where Wells Fargo connected the nonprofit Loaves & Fishes Centers group with Dave’s Killer Bread company of Milwaukie. As a result, the group is now receiving between $137,000 and $171,000 worth of free bread annually from the bakery to feed low-income seniors.

Tawnie Nelson, Wells Fargo’s regional Small Business Banking manager, volunteers on the board of Loaves & Fishes Centers, which serves 5,000 meals daily to seniors in the greater metropolitan area. She offered the group the chance to use Wells Fargo’s arena suite so it could host its key donors and prospective donors at a Trail Blazers game last October. Read More
