PC Pro: News: CES: Fossil's PDA watch released: "Fossil's Wrist PDA watch finally goes on sale in the US today after two years of delays and redesigns.
The company unveiled the concept at CES two years ago, and has been pushing back release dates ever since. But a sample will be on show at this year's event, as Fossil tries to create a market for PDA watches that provide quick and easy access to news, weather reports and stock quotes.
A spokesperson for the manufacturer told us the newest version is a complete redesign from the models shown at previous trade shows. However, the basic specifications remain the same.
Based on Palm OS 4.1 and using a Motorola CPU, the watch has a 160 x 160 pixel LCD with a touch screen and offers 8MB of storage.
Two versions are available in the US, the Fossil branded FX2008 - which costs$249.99 - and the Abacus AU5005 - available for $199.99.
